Bible Memorization

Memorizing the Bible - one of things in life that really is important.
It takes time...sure... but time WELL spent. Time learning more of God's word...implanting it into your life... it's the word of God...our daily bread... and the more we memorize, the more we learn. The more in situations...we can be able to say, "Oh! I know a great verse that applies with this!"
It's a constant thing you have to do... you can't just memorize a few verses one day, then the next day, give up and forget everything.
It's a daily thing. Constantly quoting scripture. Constantly reading it. Constantly learning more about God.
Memorizing the Bible IS important. It's very important.
The Bible says to always be ready to give an answer to those who ask (1 Peter 3:15, "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have). And how else can we do that then by KNOWING God's word?
...Take the time to learn God's word.

  1. My mom says to really cram your brain memorizing Scripture when you're young because when you memorize things when you're young, they never go away, not if they really stick. But when you memorize stuff when you're older, it's easier to forget.

  2. It's very true for sure. :)
I've always been fairly fast at memorizing things...but I could memorize a whole lot faster at even age 11. :)
