Why, God?

Romans 8:26-30, " Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified."
It's so easy to ask God 'why?'. Why do things happen? Why does it have to be this way? Why is it so hard? Why don't we understand?
As we grow older, life doesn't get easier. In fact we often have more 'reasons' to ask 'why?'. But the harder life gets, the more we understand less and struggle also more of an opportunity to trust in Christ.
Christ, the God not bound to time. (Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.") He has had our lives planned out from the very very beginning.
We can ask, 'Why, God?'. But the answer is simple, 'because God has a plan and always has'.
...The harder life gets, the more we can learn to trust in Christ; who foreknew every minute of our lives before we were even born. I think that's more than enough reason to trust in His will.

Those Moments.

It is the moments that hurt the most that God uses to shape us into who He wants us to be.
But when those moments come we can't just 'give up' and expect God to just 'solve everything' while we sit idly by.
When those hard moments come God is opening the door for us to seek Him ALONE.
He will never put us in situations that are too hard for us to handle. ("So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." -1 Cor 10:12-13).
Life for me the past few days, week...months, has been really rough. I've made mistakes. I've had days where I just wanted to give up. But God has been so incredibly faithful.
Yes, it's been rough-and still is-but I have learned SO much. God has taught me so much.
I don't see life for me getting any easier in the near future, but one thing I do know is that through it all God is with me. And as long as I keep my eyes on Him, stay in His word, prayer faithfully, seek His will constantly-those rough moments won't drag me down. They won't overwhelm me. In fact I know that as long as my eyes are on Christ, I can have continual joy.
And in God's strength will I praise Him daily, will I be thankful for all I have been blessed with.
Lately a song that has been going through my head, over and over, is 'One Pure and Holy Passion'. My favorite part in the whole song is the line, "lead me one and I will run after you."
I want that to be my daily prayer. "Lead me on, and I WILL run after you."
The God of yesterday, today and forever, Jesus Christ, He is in control of EVERY situation, big or small. He has a holy will and plan(Jer 29:11).
And I will remember that it's these moments, these moments that hurt so bad, that God is using to shape me into who He wants me to be.
And it's in these moments, I will praise His Holy name.
